SUBJECT: NRC REVIEW 0F V0GTLE READINESS REVIEW PROGRAM, APPENDIX F
INSPECTOR QUALIFICATION AND CERTIFICATION - REPORT NO. 50-424/86-24
The NRC has completed a detailed review, inspection, and verification of the
subject appendix which was submitted to the NRC on February 7, 1986.
Inspections
were conducted at the Vogtle site and our findings were discussed with members of
your staff at the conclusion of these inspections.
Areas contained in the appendix which were reviewed, examined, and verified are
identified in the enclosed report.
Within these areas, the inspection and
verification consisted of selected examinations of procedures and representative
records, discussions with personnel, and review of your licensing commitments.
The results of Appendix F reviews and inspections are categorized in the enclosed
report as deficiencies.
These matters have been pursued during subsequent
reviews and inspections and have been satisfactorily resolved.
Based on the NRC review and inspections of these activities identified in the
appendix, we have determined that commitments have been accurately identified
and programs for implementation of construction inspector qualification and
certification are acceptable and in accordance with the applicable requirements.
This decision was based upon information currently available to the inspectors
and reviewers.
Should information subsequently become available which was not
considered during this review or which conflicts with earlier information, it
will be evaluated to determine what effects it may have on the above conclusion.
