GRAND GULF NUCLEAR STATION - FORMER EMPLOYEE CONCERNS (RII-86-A-0221)
The enclosure to this letter documents information received during discussions between Region II personnel and a concerned individual.
The enclosed concerns are provided for your information at this time. The NRC has not made an attempt to ascertain the accuracy of the information supplied by.the individual.
The concerned individual, a former employee at Grand Gulf, alleges that certain activities at MP&L involve unacceptable practices -related.to personnel safety, industrial safety and harassment of employees.
The enclosed information is not being placed in the Public Document Room at this time. Appropriate safeguards must be applied to the enclosed information in view of its unsubstantiated nature so as to avoid an unwarranted invasion of privacy or defamation of character of named individuals.
According to the concerned individual, the concerns. identified _in the enclosure have been brought to the attention of MP&L management.
Therefore, we request that you provide us with any information from investigations you may have conducted relative to these issues. This matter was discussed by phone call from -
D. M. Verre111, NRC to J. Cross, MP&L, on November'26, 1986.
In order to ensure appropriate protection for the information, please mark the letter with your findings as containing "Information Exempt from Disclosure Under 10 CFR 2.790 (a)(6) and (7)".
Indicate on the envelope it is "T0 BE OPENED BY ADDRESSEE ONLY".
Please provide us with your response within 30 days of the date of this letter.
