ORDER APPROVING APPLICATION REGARDING THE CORPORATE RESTRUCTURING OF ENOVA CORPORATION. PARENT COMPANY OF SAN DIEGO GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY BY ESTABLISHMENT OF A HOLDING COMPANY WITH PACIFIC ENTERPRISES (TAC NOS. M97964, M97965 AND M98739)
Dear Mr. Guiles:
The enclosed Order is in response to a letter dated December 2.1996, from San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E) through its counsel Richard A. Meserve of Covington & Burling, recuesting approval, pursuant to Section 50.80 of Title 10 of the Code of Feceral Reaulations, regarding the cor) orate restructuring of Enova Corporation. parent company of SDG&E.
Enova i
Corporation will be combining with Pacific Enterprises to create a holding company under the name Mineral Energy Company, of which Enova will be a subsidiary. SDG&E will remain a subsidiary of Enova Corporation, and will remain a co-owner of San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. Units 1. 2 and 3.
j The staff's Safety Evaluation in support of the Order is also enclosed.
