The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 99 to Facility Operating

. License No. DPR-3 for the Yankee Nuclear Power Station (Yankee) in response to '

your application of September 30, 1985 as modified by your August 22, 1986 letter deleting part of the proposed change. Supporting information regarding this application was provided in your January 20, 1986 letter.

The amendment modifies portions of the Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications for consistency with current NRC guidance on environmental monitoring.

A copy of our related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. A Notice of Issuance will be included in the Commission's next regular biweekly Federal Register notice.
