This is in reference to your application dated September 27, 1985 to renew License No. SNM-273.

In order to continue our review, we need the follcwing additional information:

1.

Please submit a summary description of the radiation detection i

instrumentation available for performing personnel exposure and contamination surveys. You should include information concerning the type of radiation detected, the ranges available, and whether the instrument is portable or fixed.

2.

Please submit your criteria for assigning personnel dosimetry to individuals entering your restricted areas. You should include information concerning the dosimetry vendor, frequency of exchange, portion of the body monitored, and type of radiation monitored.

3.

Please suomit tne names of the Radiation Safety Officerand the Chairman of the Nuclear Safety Committee.

Include a description of their training and experience with radioisotopes.

4.

Please confirm that records of training upon which the approval to use radioisotopes is based will be maintained for inspection by the NRC.

We will continue our review upon receipt of this information. Please reply in duplicate to my attention at the Region I office and refer to Mail Control No. 125847.
