NUREdT bbCUMENTS In an attempt to imorove the speed and reliability of the distribution and processing of event-related documents into the Nuclear Materials Events Database (NMED), a procedure has been developed (attached) to require these documents to reference the appropriate NMED item number in the lower right comer of the document cover page. This number will help the Document Control Desk identify documents that need to be distributed to NMED, and will increase the accuracy of their entry into NMED.
Implementation of this procedure should commence immediately. The regions should continue to periodically send a log of event-related documents to the Office for Analysis and Evaluation of Operational Data, as is the current practice.
