Proposed Plans and Schedules to Modify Reporting Requirements Other Than 10 CFR 50.72 and 50.73 for Power Reactors and Materials Licensees i
l approve the staff's plans in SECY-99-181 for Comments 1 through 6. I disapprove of the staffs proposed action in regard to Comments 7 and 8. As a result, staff should proceed with the conforming changes to 10 CFR Part 72 (Section 72.75) and Part 73 (Section 73.71) along with the rulemaking to change 50.72 and 50.73. However, if the staff views these conforming changes are not necessary, the staff should advise the Commission within 60 days.
