j Pursuant to our recent tolophono conversation regarding Gonoral Atomics' (GA's) pending

request for a possession only licenso amendment to its TRIGA Mark l Roactor Licenso No. R 38, I '

enclosed is a rovised vorsion of the corresponding proposed technical specifications. This revision differs from the previously submittod proposod technical specifications in that:

l 1) In technical specification 9.6, references to U.S. NRC Region IV havo boon doloted from paragraphs a., b., c. and d. Those changos were made to make the technical specifications consistent with the recont NRC announcement (Roforence) that the responsibility for all regulatory activities regarding Region IV non power reactors was transferred to the Offico of Nuclear Reactor Rogulation, and

2) in technical specifications 1,10 and 9.1, the word " operation" was replaced with the word *pousession " These chan00s were inadvortontly not mado in the previously submitted version of the proposed technical specifications, and were made to make the technical specifications consistent with GA's roquest to havo NRC authorization to operato the subject reactor withdrawn and a possession only licenso amendment issuod.
