REQUEST TO RETAIN CONTAMINATED S0Il ON-SITE IN ACCORDANCE WITH 10 CFR 20.302 Re: Big Rock Point Plant By letter dated August 16, 1985, Consumers Power Company (CPC, the licensee),
requested approval to retain contaminated soil in place at the Big Rock Point Plant (the facility). The request was made pursuant to 10 CFR 20.302.
The Commission has reviewed this request and has determined that the proposed retention of contaminated soil on the facility site is acceptable; therefore, your request is approved.
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR Part 51, the Commission has caused to be ,
published in the FEDERAL REGISTER the enclosed " Environmental Assessment and Findina of No Significant Impact" (May 5 ,1986, 51 FR 16596).
