This refers to the routine safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. R. J. Bailey
of this office on March 3-7 and 10, 1986 at the Limerick Generating Station,
Limerick, Pennsylvania, of activities authorized by NRC License No. NPF-39
and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Bailey with Mr. G. Leitch
of sour staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Our inspector also verified the steps you have taken to correct the violations
brought to your attention in the enclosures to our letters dated May 30, 1985
and January 17, 1986. We have no further questions regarding your action at
this time.
Within the scope of this inspection, no viciations were observed.
Sections of the enclosed inspection report contain details of your security
program that have been determined to be exempt from public disclosure in accord-
ance with 10 CFR 73.21 (Safeguards Information). Therefore, the sections so
identified will not be placed in the NRC Public Document Room and will receive
limited distribution.
This letter and the remaining portions of the inspection
report will be placed in the Public Document Room, in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a).
No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us is appreciated.
