In accordance with your application dated August 14, 1986, and its supplement dated September 9,1986, and pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 70, Materials License No. SNM-1168 is hereby amended to authorize the storage of natural U,0 in 55-gallon drums outside their outer shipping conteiner but in an enclo5u e protecting the drums from the outside environment.

All other conditions of the license shall remain the same.

Enclosed is a copy of the Safety Evaluation Report in support of this amendment.

We have also reviewed the changes dated February 5, 1986, to your Radiological Contingency Plan. These changes reflect modifications in your organization and facility layout resulting from changes in your activities; namely, the purchase rather than the manufacture of UO2 pellets. Since the changes do not decrease the response effectiveness of the Plan, a license amandment is not required.
