Gentlemen:
This refers to the routine. safety inspection conducted by Mr. A. Dunlop, Jr.,
of this office, and Messrs. B. Gunther and B. Shier, of Brookhaven National
Laboratory, on August 11 through September 12, 1986, of activities at the
Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2,_ authorized by NRC Construction Permits No.
CPPR-132 and No. CPPR-133 and to the discussion of our findings with
Mr. P. L. Barnes at the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
= examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this-
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the_ Comission's regulations,- a copy of
this letter a'nd the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's
Public Document Room.
