An Enforcement Conference was held on September 3, 1986, at NRC Region I
Offices, to discuss the findings of Inspection 86-22. The topics discussed at
this meeting were the events on July 23, 1986, leading to the occupational
whole body radiation exposure ot = contract worker in excess of NRC quarterly
limits. The enclosed Enforce.aent Conference report describes the details of
this meeting.
Subsequent to the Enforcement Conference, the licensee submitted a letter dated
September 11, 1986, which provided supplementary information regarding their
investigatory efforts relative to the overexposure event.
No reply to this letter is required. You will be notified of our evaluation of
appropriate enforcement action at a later date.
