Subject:

B0MB THREAT On February 6, 1987, at about 10:12 a.m., the site telephone switchboard operator received a call. The male caller, in a professional business-like tone, stated that three bombs were placed in the facility and were set to detonate at 3:45 p.m. No other infonnation was provided by the caller to indicate where the bombs were placed. The licensee cor.siders that this threat applies only to the Unit 2 construction site. Therefore, the licensee initiated its bomb threat procedure and security survey teams initiated examination of the site for unidentified objects. The construction site has not been evacuated.

NRC received notification of the event via ENS at 12:12 p.m. Region I was advised at about 12:12 p.m. The NRC Infonnation Assessment Team and the Comonwealth of Pennsylvania have b en infonned. i This PNS is issued for information only and is current as of 1:30 p.m., ce bruary 6,1987. No ,
