F /:.In our letter of September 30, 1986, we indicated that the review and
. approval of as-built drawings associated with safety related piping supports hwobidbecompletedbyDecember 31, 1986.
These drawings represent the D,, consolidation of information for safety related supports as outlined in your InspectionReportNo. 50-220/85-06. As of this date, 3793 of the 3867
[jdriwingshavebeencompletedbyourcontractorandsubmittedtoNiagaraMohawk o for' acceptance and approval.
Niagara Mohawk has accepted and approved 2147 of U thyse drawings.
The apprc al of the remaining drawings has been delayed due to the results of a sample field verification of the consolidated as-built drawings.
The results of this verification indicate that minor deviations exist between the consolidated as-built drawings and actual field conditions.
- However, enginsering investigations ar.d analyses indicate that the structural integrity of the supports has not been impaired by these deviations.
The approximately 1700 drawings remaining will be accepted from the contractor by Niagara Mohawk by January 31, 1987.
However, the review and approval of these drawings will be delayed until verification of the as-built configuration of these supports is performed during our proposed Seismic Upgrade Program for Nine Mlle Point Unit 1.
This program will also include the verification of consolidated as-built drawings previously approved by Niagara Mohawk.
