Gentlemen:
This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Drs. R. B. Holtzman and
M. J. Destmann of this office on February 24-28, 1986, of activities at the
Clinton Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1, authorized by NRC Construction Permit
No. CPPR-137 and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. D. P. Hall and

others of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Additional
discussion regarding qualification cards was held by telephone with

Mr. W. Mullins on March 6, 1986.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
