Gentlemen:
This refers to the special safety inspection conducted by Messrs. S. Stasek,
R. Evans, R. Larson,_K. Ward, and D. Baxter of this office on March 3-6, 1986,
of activities at Clinton Power Station, Unit 1, authorized by NRC Construction
,
Permit No. CPPR-137 and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. D. P. Hall
'
and others of your staff at the conclusicn of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
No violations with NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790, of the NRC " Rules of Practice", Part 2, Title.
10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosure will
be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
