conclusion of the inspection. ,

' Areas examined during the inspection included portions of the radiation

protection program. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective

examination.of procedures and representative records, interviews.with .; '

personnel,' and observations by the NRC inspector. -The inspection findings are .,

documented in the enclosed inspection report.

Withinthescopeof.theinspection,noviol$tionsordeviationswere

identified. However, we are concerned about the high-turnover rate among the ,

= technical support staff for the radiation protection program. . Accordingly, you

, are requested to respond, in writing, within 30 days of the date of this

letter, regarding the root causes of the .bigh turnover rate and steps taken to

.f maintain a stable technical support staff

, We have also examined actions you have taken with regard to previously

identified inspection findings. The status of these items-is identified in
