Gentlemen:
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs. J. M. Jacobson
and D. E. Jones of this office on November 20, 25, 26; December 10, 12, 17,
18, 30, 31, 1986, and January 7, 8, 14, 29, 1987, of activities at the Braidwood
Station, Units 1 and 2, authorized by NRC Operating License No. NPF-59 and
Construction Permit No. CPPR-133 and to the discussion of our findings with
Mr. C. W. Schroeder and others of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined dering
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
In accordance wP
10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's
Public Document Room.
