SUBJECT:
CONFIRMATION OF ACTION LETTER This refers to your March 18, 1987, letter and the telephone conversation on April 10, 1987, between you and Blaine Murray of this office regarding repair of the aluminum reactor tank liner.
It is our understanding that before reactor startup, the following items will be reviewed by the Reactor Operations Committee:
1.
The repair work will be evaluated to assure that the maintenance activities did not have any. adverse effects concerning the operating characteristics of the reactor.
2.
An investigation will be conducted to assure that leakage from the holes in the liner did not result in unauthorized radioactive liquid releases.
3.
NRC Region IV office will be notified before reactor startup.
If your understanding of the above is different, please notify me immediately.
