In reference to your' question on radwastes, it is requested by the Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE) to know:

a) Name of the company (this I have already provided) and if it works-under contract with CFE (direct ontract) or if it worked under a subcontractor.

b) dates in which the company was working in Mexico c) amount of vaste, form (liquid, solid ?)

d) in case of transportation toVeracru::, who would be reponsible?

Subiects MINOR TRANSPORTATION ACCIDENT INVOLVING RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL Discussion:

LAt 5:00 p.m., EDT, on June 17,'1998, a tractor trailer owned by Frank W.

Hake Associates, Memphis, TN, was involved in a minor traffic accident.

The. truck was carrying scaffolding contaminated with low-levels of fixed mixed ~ fission' products._ The shipment was identified as containing I

Limited Quantities of radioactive material. Several 1.5 inch metal rods penetrated the trailers rear doors about six inches. The metal rods were relocated, the holes covered and the truck was moved to a nearby truck stop. On June 18, 1998, the State of Tennessee Division of Radiological i Health authorized the truck to proceed to the final destination, American Ecology Recycling Center in Oak Ridge, TN. No radioactive material was

-released outside of the trailer and there were no personal injuries.
