Fuel Handling Senior Reactor Operator Licenses This letter transmits your copies of the Fuel Handling Senior Reactor Operator (FHSRO) licenses which were the result of examinations conducted on October 18, 21, and 22, 1985.
As part of the FHSRO operating examinations, candidates were tested on their knowledge and use of the defueling procedures.
It was acknowledged, at the time of the examinations, that the facility approved procedures were undergoing major revision.
It was also understood, that the candidates had been actively involved in the revision of the defueling procedures and were knowledgeable of the proposed revisions.
However, numerous additional procedural deficiencies were identified during the examinations which had not been previously noted by the candidates. It is our understanding that the appropriate additional train-ing will be conducted once the procedures have been revised and approved for use.
These concerns on the adequacy of the defueling procedures have been communi-cated to the Program Office. No response to this letter is required.
