The purpose of this letter is to request approval of modifications to License SNht-777, reflecting a change in the corporation name and the change of address of corporate headquarters.
The appropriate changes should be made on NRC Form 374 (hfaterials License) and Sections 100 and 200 of the License.
The requested changes are encompassed in the attached, re-written pages of Section 100 and 200.
As these changes have no consequence of a safety or environmental nature, we consider this to be an admin-istrative amendment and have enclosed our check for the required $150.00 fee.

SUMMARY
OF ACTIVITIES Issued Supercedes 5/10/84 The UNC Recovery Systems facility handled and processed various types of nuclear fuel scrap materials in order to reclaim the uranium for recycling.
The design of the equipment provided for the processing of highly-enriched uranium, thorium and nat-ural uranium as well as non-radioactive materials.
In May of 1980, UNC, Incorporated, announced it was terminating l
its recovery operations at this facility.
From that point in time, the principle activity has been the decontamination and decommissioning of the facility.

101 CORPORATE INFORMATION Issued Supercedes 5/10/84 UNC Recovery Systems,.a division of UNC, Incorporated, is lo-l cated in Wood River Junction, Rhode Island.
This facility is designed and was operated for the purpose of recovering un-irradiated uranium from scrap materials generated by the nu-clear industry.
UNC, Incorporated, a Deleware based Corporation, maintains its headquarter of fices at Annapolis, Maryland.
The Corporation is involved in providing technology and services to the gen-eral industrial community.

102 LOCATION AND LAYOUT Issued Supercedes 5/10/84 The UNC Recovery Systems facility of UNC, Incorporated, in the l
process of being decommissioned, is located on a 1114 acre site in southwestern Rhode Island in Washington County.
The plant is located in the approximate center of the western half of the property and is 1.3 miles (by road) southeast of the village of Wood River Junction.
Sketch 102-I shows the general location and layout.
The gener-al arrangement of the plant is shown in Sketch 102-II, which shows only the inner fenced-in portion.
The outside tanks, fenced-in storage areas, impoundments A and B, and the incin-erator no longer exist, as they have been removed or otherwise disposed of during the decommissioning activities.
The principle building contained offices, locker rooms, general utility and maintenance facilities, and processing facilities.
The chemical laboratory was located on the second level above the locker room area.
The Health Physics laboratory was lo-cated in a portion of the office area north of the locker rooms.
The covered shipping and receiving and storage area is located to the northwest of the principle building.
Storage of Special Nuclear Material in this area meets the criteria prescribed either by regulation or by documented approval of the USNRC.
Other than for maintenance purposes and storage, this building has been deactivated, with offices and the Health Physics Lab-oratory now located in an office trailer approximately 300 feet west of the main plant buildings.

The Plant Manager, UNC Recovery Systems reports directly to the General Manager of UNC Recovery Systems, which is a UNC, Incorporated Division.

The functional organization depicted in the chart con-tained in Figure 201 - II reficcts the Recovery Systems divisional structure and illustrates the delegated lines of authority for administration, nuclear and industrial safety, nuclear material control, and security.
