Inspection 50-354/87-10
This refers to the special inspection conducted by Messrs. I. V111alva of NRC's
Region III office and V. D. Thomas of NRC's Office of Inspection and Enforcement
on March 16-20, 1987. The inspection was conducted to assess conformance at
your Hope Creek Generating Station with Regulatory Guide 1.97, Revision 2,
" Instrumentation for Light Water Cooled Nuclear Power Plants to Assess Plant
and Environs Conditions During and Following an Accident."
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the enclosed report.
Within these areas the inspection consisted of selected examinations of
drawings, procedures, records, and installation of representative subsystems
of the post accident monitoring system. The inspection also included
interviews with personnel and observations by the inspectors.
