INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-416/87-03
This refers to the Enforcement Conference conducted in this office on February 4,
1987. The conference included a review of activities associated with the Standby
Service Water System at your Grand Gulf facility.
NPC concerns relative to
inspection findings were discussed by Mr. M. L. Ernst. Deputy Regional
Administrator, with you and members of your staff, and are summarized in the
enclosed inspection report.
The inspection findings on this subject are discussed in Inspection Report Nos.
50-416/86-32, 50-416/86-37 and 50-416/86-39.
Af ter further review of the
information presented at the conference, we have determined that you identified
and took prompt corrective actions for the problems associated with this system.
Furthermore, we have determined that this matter meets the NRC Enforcement
Policy's criteria for licensee-identified violations and, therefore, no violation
will be issued.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosure
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
