Box 270 Hartford, Connecticut 06141-0270 Gentlemen: Subject: Inspection Report No. 50-245/87-07 A routine safety inspection was conducted by Mr. H. Bicehouse of this office on February 23-27, 1987, of the water chemistry control program at the Millstone Unit 1 Nuclear Power Plant, Waterford, Connecticut. Our findings were discussed with Mr. J. Stetz and others of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection on February 27, 1987. The areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel and observations by the inspector. Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed. No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this matter is appreciated.
