This refers to the routine physical security-inspection conducted by Mr. W.
Madden of this office on January 27-28, 1987 of activities at the Haddam Neck
Plant in Haddam Neck, Connecticut and at the Northeast Utilities Service
Company offices in Berlin, Connecticut authorized by NRC License No. DRP-61 and
to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Madden with Mr. Norman Tasker,
Director, Systems Security at the conclusion of the inspection on January 29,
1986. -
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
