This documents a meeting held on February 19, 1987, in the Region IV office between members of your staff and Region IV representatives, as identified in the attached attendance list. The purpose of the meeting, which was held at Houston Lighting and Power Company's (HL&P) request, was to brief the Region IV emergency preparedness staff on the scenario being developed for the April 1987 exercise at the South Texas Project.
The HL&P representatives brought a draft ccay of the scenario and discussed the document with Region IV representatives. Both the NRC staff and the HL&P representatives considered the meeting to be beneficial, and we are anticipating a formal submittal of the exercise scenario for review in the near future.
