Dear Mr. Keppler:
This is to confirm our verbal report made to the NRC Operations Center via the Emergency Notification System at 2258 hours0.0261 days <br />0.627 hours <br />0.00373 weeks <br />8.59169e-4 months <br /> on January 14, 1987.
At that time the NRC Operations Center was informed that the Fire Suppression Water System was not operable as required by Technical Specification 3.7.9.1 in that the west leg-of the Unit 2 Turbine Building Fire Header had been isolated to allow for the replacement of a piece of pipe on Fire Hose Standpipe #48.
Upon further review of this incident, it has been determined that this is not a reportable event in that all of the Fire Distribution /
Suppression' Systems as identified in Technical Specification 3.7.9.lb remained in service at all times.
