The fuel removal rate varies with a canister per day or two as a

UNPLANNED INTAVsE OF RADI0 ACTIVE MATERIAL P

On Friday, January 2,1987, a senior radiol'ogical control technician G

received an unplanned intake of radioactive natorials. !!e was T[;i performing routine survey coverage of a work activity in Makeup Punp Room-1-C which is-located at the 281 foot elevation of the Auxiliary ifj Building. A local air monitor alarued while the technician was v.

exiting the area. The preliminary assessment of the intake to the jr technician is 80 MPC-hr. The regulatory linit is 520 MPC-hr per y

calendar quarter. The event is still under review by the licensee S;

and the NRC onsite staff.
