September 15, 1988 t Plant Conditions at Time of Occurrence ,

The plant was at approximately 80% power on September 15, 1988. l Identification of Occurrence l Fire barrier doors AU 216 and AU 217 were not returned to operable status within 7 days as required in Technical Specification 3.14.6.2.

Descriotion of Occurrence j On September 8, 1988, fire barrier doors AU 216 and AU 217 were opened to provide ventilation in support of planned work under Work Request 153058 on the Auxiliary Building Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning System. Door AU 216 is cetween fire area 16 and the corridor. Door AU 217 is between fire area 17 and the corridor.

Corrective Action Taken  !

! An hourly firewatch was previously posted in the area and satisfied the f q Technical Specification 3.14.6 require-ent for the deficiency. The fire

barrier doors were restored to opert .c status on September 19, 1988.
