This refers to the routine safety inspection of your radioactive effluent
controls program conducted by Mr. B. S. Davidson of this office on September
6-9, 1938 of activities authorized under NRC License Numbers OPR-44 and DPR-56
at the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Units 2 and 3, Delta, Pennsylvania.
The scope of the inspection and the inspection findings were discussed with Mr.
D. LeQuia and others of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection on
September 9, 1983.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the report enclosed
with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective
examination of procedures and rep.esentative records, interviews with
personnel and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this review no violations were identified.
However, an
unresolved item pertaining to your offsite dose calculation manual was
identified.
Details are provided in Section 3.
