NRC STAFF'S ANSWER TO ORANGE COUNTY'S MOTION TO RELOCATE PREHEARING CONFERENCE By motion dated March 9,1999, the Board of Commissioners of Orange County, North Carolina (Petitioner) tequested that the prehearing conferenu: scheduled for the week of May 10, 1999 at the NRC's offices in Rockville, Maryland be relocated to a site in the area of the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant. " Orange Coumy's Motion to Relocate Prehearing Conference."

Carolina Power & Light Company (Licencee) responded on March 15, 1999, supporting the Petitioner's request, and further requesting that the prehearing conference be held on May 13,1999 at the Old Courthouse in Hillsborough, North Carolina. " Applicant's Response to BCOC's Motion to Relocate Prehearing Conference."

The Staff has no objection to relocating the prehearing conference. Further, as indicated in the Licensee's response, the Staff has no objection to the Licensee's suggested time and place.
