REPORT NOS. 50-338/86-05 AND 50-339/86-05 Thank you for your response of April 18, 1986, to our Notice of Violation issued on March 20, 1986, concerning activities conducted at your North Anna facility.
A preliminary acknowledgement of your response was provided in our letter of June 4, 1986. We,have completed our evaluation of your response and have found that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201.
Based on our review of your response, we understand that it is your position that the training for North Anna Damage Control Team members, as specified in Section IV.F of Appendix E to 10 CFR Part 50, is provided through a combination of:
1.
Nuclear Power Station General Employee Training; 2.
Detailed training for persons with specific assigned functions during an emergency; 3.
Emergency training received as part of their normal job; 4.
Annual General Employee Retraining; and 5.
Functional training received as part of the continuing job training program.
We understand from your response that this combination of training ensures that employees are familiar with their specific emergency response duties as specified in Appendix E to 10 CFR Part 50. If your position regarding this matter differs from our understanding of your position, as described herein, please inform this office promptly.
Based on your position that this integrated training results in Damage Control Team members who are familiar with their specific emergency response duties and functions, we withdraw the violation and have deleted the violation from our records.
We appreciate you cooperation in this matter.
