Attn: Licensing Assistance 475 Allendale Road King of Prussia, Pennsylvania 19406-1415

Dear Director:

i This letter is being sebmitted as requested by Mr. James Bondick of your agency to support our license termination request for our Co-60 Facility, license 19-17250-05. The license termination correspondence is ender mail control number 126008.

The Co-60 Facility drains are connected to a 4000-gallon underground tank located outside of our radiation storage room (enclosure). Both the tank and storage room were specifically {

covered by our Co-60 Facility licen.se. Two other licenses that ]

we hold, 19-17250-04, and SNM 348 also cover the storage room. l The storage room will therefore continue to be licensed. The l underground tank, however, is not specifically mentioned in these two licenses, and needs to be because the drains in the storage room flow to the tank.

Request that licenses 19-17250-04 and SNM 348 be amended to include the underground tank. There is no contamination currently in the tank, nor is there any contamination in the radiation storage room. The two remaining licenses cover sealed sources and low level neutron activated hardware. Efforts are underway to ship these sources for disposal, followed by license termination. Contamination of the tank is therefore not anticipated.
