Dear Mr. White:
SUBJECT:
SEQUOYAH UNIT 1 RESTART - UPDATE OF SUBMITTALS NEEDED FROM TVA Enclosed is the list of the submittals the staff needs from TVA to support NRC decisions regarding Unit I heatJp and P9 start. Any slippage in the target dates listed could adversely impact our review schedule.
In some cases, the target dates have been revised to a later date by your staff. These dates have been agreed to by OSP and your staff for restart.
A critical item is '.he submittal date for the restart electrical design calculations. The final submittal date is now September 15, 1988, a few weeks before your projected date for entry into Mode 2.
Any further slippage in the date will impact our review schedule for restart of Unit 1.
Our reviews may identify the need for additional information to resolve the technical issues if your submittals are incomplete. We will notify your staff promptly of these instances as they arise.
The raporting and/or recordkeeping requirements contained in this letter affect fewer than ten respondents; therefore, OMB clearance is not required under P.L.96-511.
Sincerely, 5d8 Original Signed by M
Suzanne Black, Assistant Director 08 for Projects 80 TVA Projects Division y
