CONCURRENT OPERATION OF TURKEY POINT UNITS 3 AND 4 - DOCKET NOS.
50-250 AND 50-251 (REFERENCE L-86-243, DATED JUNE 12,1986)
On April 2,1986, a Confirmation of Action letter was sent to Florida Power and Light (FP&L) wherein NRC and FP&L agreed that a safety evaluation of diesel generator loading for concurrent operation of Turkey Point Units 3 ano 4 would be completed and approved by NRC prior to restart of Unit 4.
FP&L submitted the results of their evaluation of emergency diesel generator loading for concurrent operation of Units 3 and 4 on June 13, 1986. NRC has reviewed this evaluation and consider it to be acceptable for concurrent operation of Units 3 and 4, providing the corrective actions are completed as scheduled in the evaluation. We consider the items listed in our Confirmation of Action letter, dated April 2, 1986, to be complete. A Safety Evaluation Report (SER) will be issued on the subject matter by August 1, 1986.
