1.0 INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND

,. By letter dated April 20, 1988, the licensee submitted a proposed char.ge to the Technical Specifications. This proposed change deleted a reference

? in Appendix B, which referred to 10 CFR 51.5(b)2. 10CFR51.5(b)2has J, been deleted from Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations. The most d recent version of 10 CFR 51.5 was published on March 12, 1934 at 49 FR

_a 9352, 2.0 EVALUATION The purpose of this change is to bring the Fort St. Vrain Technical Specifications into conforrance with the regulations.

The staff concurs with this change to update Appendix B sf the Technical

- Specifications and finds it acceptable, since the deletion of an outdated reference to 10 CFR Part 51 does not affect the obligation to comply with regulations.

4.0 CONCLUSION

The staff has concluded, based on the considerations discussed above, that:
