Subject:

Natural Circulation Tests: SER Section 15.4.7.5 (SER Licensing Condition No. 5) i

Dear Sir:

In Reference (c), we provided a report justifying the applicability to Seabrook Station'of the results for the boron mixing and natural circulation tests which were conducted at Diablo Canyon, Unit 1.

After review of our report, members of your Staff noted that our report was found to be generally acceptable, but they had noted that their review of the specific Diablo Canyon, Unit I data was continuing.

More specifically, your Staff indicated that if during their final re-view of the Diablo Canyon, Unit 1 data a concern is generated which may affect our applicability report, it may be required for Seabrook to con-sider that concern.

If in their review of the Diablo Canyon, Unit 1 data, the Staff does identify a concern which may pertain to Seabrook Station's appli-l cation of that data, we will consider the concern with respect to our applicability report. If necessary, we will revise our report to assure that the Seabrook Station is still bounded by the Diablo Canyon, Unit 1 test results.
