JUN 3 01986 50-40 60-YY Merrimac Board of Selectmen ATTN: Mr. Ronald Jordan Chairman Merrimac, Massachusetts 01860
Dear Mr. Jordan:
Thank you for your letter of May 23, 1986 regarding the Seabrook Radiological Emergency Response Plan for the Town of Merrimac.
We acknowledge your recommendation that Merrimac not accept this Plan nor conduct an exercise to test the Plan since you believe that the Plans are inadequate for prompt and safe Town evacuation.
Accordingly, we are for-warding your concerns to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA),
Region I.
FEMA is the Federal agency which evaluates and provides determi-nations to us as to whether State and local emergency plans are adequate and whether there is reasonable assurance such plans can be implemented.
i Further questions regarding this matter may be forwarded to the Federal Emergency Mangement Agency, Region I,

Sincerely,
)
