SUBJECT:

ACCEPTANCE OF CHANGES TO THE QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM FOR TROJAN OPERATIONS l

l We have reviewed the changes you submitted on June 3, 1988 for Revision 11 i

to the Nuclear Quality Assurance Program (PGE-8010).

Interim Change 188-1 addresses the reorganization of PGE's Nuclear Quality Assurance Department f

and also incorporates our comments of May 19, 1988 regarding acceptance of Interim Change 187 "

Questions resulting from our review were discussed by Mr. W. J. Wagner of 1

this office with Mr. A. R. Ankrum of your staff on July 20, 1988. One QA Department responsibility was inadvertently deleted in Interim Change 188-1.

That was the activity of assisting in the development and maintenance of 1

"Licensing Documents".

It was agreed that this item would be reinstated in Interim Change 188-2.

Our review of the changes submitted reveals that Interim Change 188-1, l

as to be amended by Interim Change 188-2, will continue to meet the requirements of 10 CFR 50, Appendix B; therefore the changes are acceptable.
