.4 United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission SBN-Attention:
Mr. Vincent S. Noonan Page 2 As further clarification to the above response we of fer the following. The program addressing seismic interaction of cabinets required a walkdown to check each cabinet'(i.e., review cabinet spacing). This review or check entailed a comparison of actual measurements to the applicable spacing criteria which was estab-lished based on precalculated deflections.
In those situations where a discrepancy was identified, the cabinets were structurally connected. When connected, an analysis was done to check the natural frequency and strength of the connection and the overall assembly.
It should be noted that in one case (VB-CB-299, SQRT item BOP-11) the solution was to move the cabinet which has been completed. All cabinet interaction problems have been identified and the required modifications and analysis are complete.
We trust this information is acceptable and request the status of these items be reflected in the next supplement to Seabrook's SER.
