Carolina Power & Light Company hereby submits information requested by NRC Bulletin No. 87-02, Supplement 2 "Fastener Testing to Determine Conformance with Applicable Material Specifications", dated June 10, 1988. The subject Bulletin Supplement required that licensees develop a list of names and addresses of manufacturers and suppliers from which ferrous fasteners 1/4 inch in diameter or greater have been purchased.
The information is to be provided for safety related fasteners purchased within the previo.
10 years and for nonsafety-related fasteners purchased within the previous 5 years.
As discussed with Mr. J. T. Conway ( iRC) on June 22, 1988, the items covered by the term ' fastener" are defined as screws, nuts, bolts, studs, and threaded-rods. Washers and other "sheet-metal" items are not i.ncluded in the Bulletin scope.
Attached are a table listing the requested information for safety related fasteners and a table containing the information for the nonsafety related fasteners.
