1. Management Involvement in Assuring Quality The licensee's submittal reflected a management program where activities affecting quality were adequately controlled.

Rating: Category 2

2. Approach to Resolution of Technical Issues from a Safety Standpoint The licensee's approach to this issue appeared to be based primarily on the safety .asues involved. The licensee did, however, commit to a rather extended period of time to complete implementation of this item.

As noted above, the licensee was responsive to the issue, but selected a protracted schedule to complete implementation.
