Docket No. 50-219 Visual Weld Acceptance Criteria, Revision 2 Pursuant to NRC letters dated February 11, 1987 and March 3,1987 concerning visual weld acceptance criteria (VWAC) for TMI-l and OCNGS, respectively; GPUN hereby commits to including the requirements of VWAC, Revision 2 in the respective Final Safety Analysis Reports.
The commitment to VWAC, Revision 2 will be documented in the TMI-1 and OCNGS FSARs as part of FSAR Update 6 for TMI-l and FSAR Update 2 for OCNGS, scheduled for issuance in July 1987 and June 1987, respectively.
We trust this commitment satisfies NRC's concern.
It is our understanding that the NRC TMI-2 Cleanup Project Directorate has accepted the approach to incorporate VWAC, Revision 2 into the GPUN Recovery Quality Assurance Plan for TMI-2, since TMI-2 has been exempted from the FSAR update requirements of 10 CFR 50.71(e).
