The NRC requested additional details in Reference 2, and we responded to this request in Reference 3.

This letter supplements or clariffes the information contained in these references.

In Reference 1, we agree to conduct upon discharge a visual examination of two early applications of a new fuel designs. By "early applications", we meant that the visual examination will be made on two applications of. the new design from the first year in which the design is introduced.

l In response to an NRC request, GE will supply to the NRC on an annual basis data on fuel performance for the previous year.
