NRC Inspection of Rancho Seco
This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Messrs. C. Perez, C. Myers
and W. Albert of this office on April 22, 1986, through May .31, 1986, of
activities authorized by NRC License No. DPR-54, and to the discussion of our
findings held by Mr. G. Coward, Nuclear Plant Manager and other members of
your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the enclosed inspection
report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective
examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with~
personnel, and observations by the inspectors.
Based on the results of this inspection, it appears that-several of your

f activities were not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements, as set
/ forth in the Notice of Violation, enclosed herewith as Appendix A, and the.
/
Notice of Deviation, enclosed herewith as' Appendix B.
.Your response'to this notice is to be submitted in accordance with the
provisions of 10 CFR 2.201 as stated in ' Appendix A,: Notice of Violation and
-10CFR 2, Appendix C as stated in Appendix B, Notice of Deviation.

In addition, as discussed in Paragraph 5 of this report, timely submittal of

resolution of this natter prior to restart.
