Revision To Proposed Fire Protection Technical Specification Amendment Request Gentlemen:
Reference 1 transmitted an application for amendment to Facility Operating Licenses NPF-30, for the Callaway Plant, and NPF-42, for Wolf Creek Generating Station.
This amendment request proposed modifying existing license conditions regarding fire protection and placing fire protection requirements in plant procedures, and the Final Safety Analysis Report instead of Technical Specifications.
Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation formally endorsed this joint application for amendment in Reference 2.
As a result of discussions with members of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff, a minor change is being made to the amendment request transmitted by Reference 1.
The change and a brief discussion of the change is provided as an attachment to this letter.
Revised portions of the original submittal have been underlined for clarity.
The conculsions of the complete Safety Evaluation and Significant Hazards Consideration transmitted by Reference 1 remain valid.
