This refers to our Confirmatory Action Letter dated June 23, 1986, relating to
the recovery program for the off gas charcoal fire identified at the Perry
plant on June 20, 1986.
Based on our inspection efforts, Region III has concluded you have met all of
your commitments noted in the above Confirmatory Action Letter and I concur
with reactor startup consistent with your planned schedule. Our inspection
results will be sent to you in IE Inspection Report No. 50-440/86020, currently
under review.
