This letter refers to the routine resident safety inspection conducted by
Mr. John A. Berry and Mr. Clay C. Warren during the period April 16 through
May 31, 1986 at the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station, Wading River, New York.
The inspection consisted of observations of activities, interviews with per-
sonnel and document reviews. The results of the inspection are described in
the NRC Region I Inspection Report enclosed with this letter and were discussed
with nembers of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
